Yacht Section Cruise to East Cowes, 7th and 8th May
Tim and Rosie Haigh organised the Yacht Section, East Cowes Cruise, ordered in suitable weather and even got a sail in. Thank to them both for organising a great cruise, Here’s their report;
Sunshine, 25°C Wind 4-5 and spring tide. What more can a Cruise leader ask for? A lovely run down to Cowes on Saturday with a beat back on Sunday. Some of th
e early leavers experienced some wind over tide, but those who left later had flatter seas but had to fight the tide.
A pontoon party was held on Saturday followed by an impromptu Curry (arranged by our deputies Trevor and Rose) at what I believe is called the Dead Parrot (Simon – The Purple Mango, East Cowes Trip Advisor Review).
