Boots, Buses, a Buggy but no Bikes, Yacht Section Cruise

On Monday evening the cruise met in Yarmouth after a number of crews had taken advantage of the lovely weather over the previous weekend. The rain stopped and the pontoon stayed afloat long enough for a pontoon party.

Pontoon Despite the drizzle on Tuesday morning 19 people walked the coastal path to join the rest of the party for lunch at the Horse and Groom, Ningwood. Later the whole cruise had tea and cake on Raven followed by a pre-prandial drink in the beautiful Royal Solent Yacht Club.

Magic

Wednesday morning started wet and foggy as First Light and Nourishment headed home and everyone else stayed tucked up until it brightened up for a late morning sail across to the Hamble. An enjoyable group meal was held at La Dolce Vita with entertainment provided by a table magician.

Walkers

Thursday was glorious. 13 people walked along both banks of the Hamble to meet for lunch at Warsash Sailing Club via a coffee stop at the Boathouse, Swanwick.

The buggy was acquired on the ferry trip back. Buggy

The day finished for a few with a drink at the Victory and entertainment from the Wickham Morris Dancers, with new recruits from CYC – Cathy and Clive.

Dance A good wind allowed a great sail back home on Friday.
