Women’s & Junior Regattas – Saturday 4th June
CYC held a women’s & junior regatta on Saturday 4th June. The day before the main Regatta. The women’s Regatta is open to women only. A small but select group of women participated!. It was a warm day with light variable winds- periodically no wind. The racing was won by Helen Green & Anne Watkins (2000) Meryl Deane was second in her Streaker.
The junior fleet had a little more excitement. Three Races were held. With some fierce competition amongst the six Toppers. Only Katie Day finished all 3 races, taking an overall win with a first in every race. Henrietta McKenzie was second and Lily Speed third
