Blue Flag Sailing Returns for 2021

On Blue Flag days there will be a Safety Patrol boat on the water to help you if you get into difficulties.

The Blue Flag days will only be offered on days when the conditions are good, with light wind. The Blue Flag helm, will choose the day and post the details on the Dinghy WhatsApp groups. (Details of how to join the Dinghy WhatsApp groups can be found in any edition of Flag it Up).

The First Date will be Tuesday 30th March 12:30 to 15:00.

The blue flag safety boat will be operated by Volunteers who monitor sailors in the Lake area – visible from the club house. They will not be able to attend anyone sailing out of sight of the club.

Please be considerate and only go out if you are comfortable that you can cope with the conditions. Monopolising the safety boat will reduce the cover provided to others.

If in doubt, we recommend that you attend one of our coaching sessions where closer supervision will be provided.
