Frozen Toe 5&6

17 boats arrived early on Sunday for races 5&6 of the Frozen Toe series. They were met by grey skys and very little wind.

The Race officer, Bill Grose, set a simple triangle course for the three fleets on the principle that when the wind shifted it would be quick to reset the course and keep the competitors warm.

The Fast fleet was dominated by the CYC Hadrons with 6 of the 7 boats, however the one RS400 sailed by Jack Holden and Rob Henderson managed to extend a lead and win both over the water and on handicap. Second place in the two races were taken by two different Orange Hadrons, Ian Brookes in the first race and Peter Harrison in second.

The Medium fleet races were both won by Nick and Biddy Colbourne after some close racing with Ian Morgan visiting from Warsash in his Solution.

The Slow fleet races were both won by Josie Kelly from Felpham SC followed in the first race by Louie Cornell also from Felpham and Karen Cheeseman from CYC.  In the Second race Josie was left to race on her own after the other competitors retired.
