Report on the Yarmouth Cruise

We all arrived through Tuesday afternoon to be efficiently welcomed by the Yarmouth berthing team. The pontoon party was the usual time of friendly banter and discussion of what we were going to do on Wednesday before making our own arrangements for supper.

Wednesday came with warm and sunny weather with most deciding to join us in going to Farringford House and gardens in Freshwater. The number 7 bus came in handy for those who only wanted a short walk with the others walking up the east side of the River Yar then to the gardens. A period of history and ‘culture ‘ then evolved plus some sitting down and enjoying the sunshine.

Lunch in the gardens at Farringford House

The walk back or bus for a few of us went via the Red Lion at Freshwater for some vital refreshments. The day finished with supper at RSYC which was well organised by the RSYC team.

On Thursday some stayed for another day in Yarmouth due to the poor weather with the others making their way home.

With thanks to all who came along – Haraka, Sounio, Good Day Sunshine, Coco, Yalla, Raven, Ursa Minor, Good Time Girl and Sea Spray.
