Patrick Byrne was a sailor until he bought a Scorpion in 1999, which started a 25-year link to Scorpion Ribs, including owning the business from 2008 to 2024.

Scorpion are considered one of the best Ribs available and hold more records than any other boat built in Britain, including around the British Isles and London to Monaco.

He has completed several long Rib cruises and has raced Scorpion occasionally including a class win in Cowes Torquay Cowes Power Boat Race.

Scorpion sponsored Sir Ben Ainslie from 2012 to 2016 and Team INEOS still runs a Scorpion Chase boat today.

Patrick is now retired and lives in West Wittering.
