This is an opportunity to visit the Lewmar factory in Havant. Many of us have quite a bit of their equipment on our boats so it should be interesting to see behind the scenes. They intend to put on a tour through both of their factories including the new glass plant. For the yachtsmen amongst us they will also include a demo of servicing a winch.
Everyone who is booked on the outing should make their own way to Lewmar and meet at 10am. This is their address:
As it is a Saturday their car park will be empty so parking will be straight forward. To the left hand side of the facility is their showroom behind 2 glass doors. We should meet there.
The visit should conclude around 12 noon.
For those people who signed up for lunch we will make a short drive (5 minutes) from Lewmar to Langbrook Farm, 2A Langstone Road, Havant, PO9 1SA. They have a very large car park so again should not be any problem with parking.
Please let me know if you are unable to attend so that I can inform Lewmar and the restaurant as required.
As we are such a large party the restaurant have requested that we give them some indication of how many people will be choosing their carvery vs. their main menu – just to ensure that the service is prompt. If you could let me know your likely preference that would be most helpful. I am not going to hold you to this but I am just trying to get an idea.
PS for convenience we have used the ramblers web form for the registration so please disregard comments about rambling!
