Socials: Winter Lecture via Zoom, Boleh – a ‘can-do’ story

‘Boleh’ has recently been a familiar sight in Chichester harbour and around the Solent.  This unique, historic junk-yacht has a fascinating history, from her birth over 70 years ago to her major restoration by local shipwrights and Portsmouth apprentices completed with Heritage Lottery funding in 2015.  Our speaker is Henry Middleton from the Boleh Trust and his talk will cover Boleh’s design and build, her epic voyage from Singapore to the UK in 1950, two major restorations, the owners who loved her and her current charitable work along the South Coast.
