Socials: Winter Lecture via Zoom, Seals in Chichester Harbour – Postponed
We are very lucky to have a breeding population of Common (or Harbour) seals in Chichester Harbour, the only one in the eastern English Channel. Grey seals are also regular visitors. In this illustrated presentation, John will describe the fascinating lives of these remarkable animals, help you to identify them, update you on how they are faring in our waters and give tips on where and how to watch them.
Hopefully there will be time for questions!
John has worked in the field of wildlife conservation and education all his life. Since 2010 he has voluntarily led walks and boat trips, carried out surveys, given talks and provided training – mostly based on local wildlife – primarily for Chichester Harbour Conservancy, Friends of Chichester Harbour, Chichester Natural History Society and the RSPB.
Details of how to join the Zoom meeting can be found in the On Board and Yacht Section email newsletters.
