Yachts : Cross Channel Trophy Race / Cruise to Cherbourg

We plan to race/cruise to Cherbourg on the Friday rather than the Saturday, because of previous problems getting berths in Cherbourg on Saturday night. Those racing/cruising across to France for just the bank holiday weekend can return from Cherbourg on the Sunday or Monday depending on weather/preference. If you wish to carry on to the Channel Islands, then please book onto that cruise as well.
For the racing aspect of the crossing all you need to do is log your start and finish times, so you might as well do so and join in the fun. We will as usual have regular radio position checks so we all know where everyone is on the way across, so you will have company if it’s your first crossing.
More details will be provided at the briefing on Wednesday 22nd May at 8.30 pm, which will allow for any boats who need to get out of their marina on Thursday. This will also be an opportunity to ask questions and allay any concerns.
