EARTHAM WOOD AND STANE STREET
Meet at Forestry Commission car park . PO18 0LT ready for 10.00am start.
The car park is 1 mile north of the George pub. The walk leaves the car park heading north along along a firm forest track uphill to Stubbs Wood. Turn right and proceed for two miles to the car park overlooking the Weald to the north - coffee break spot ( bring your own preferred refreshments )
Turn sharp right along Monarchs Way, which is part of Stane Street for two and a half miles, going downhill with Isle of Wight and Chichester Harbour views to return to the car park.
Distance five and a half miles, two and a half hours. If it rains, the woods provide shelter.

Drive to George at Eartham for lunch. There is car parking at the pub as well as verges in the village. The pub will require pre orders nearer the time.
