Buckler's Hard Cruise

This is the now-traditional mid-week sojourn to Buckler?s Hard, and the delights of the New Forest. The plan is to head West on the morning of Wednesday 24th June, and either return to base on the afternoon of Friday 26th or head off on further Summer adventures (at your choice.) Near-neap tides on the outbound leg should see us safely into the Beaulieu River in plenty of time for an afternoon chillout and early evening pontoon party. A departure around noon on 26th should enjoy abating Westbound tides as we head out of the river, followed by broadly favourable tidal flow to take those wishing to return to base safely home. Whilst at leisure in Buckler?s Hard there will be opportunities to ramble into the New Forest, enjoy local wildlife and hostelries, and nearer the time I?ll be able to confirm arrangements for one of the Summer ?pop-up? catering providers and/or an onsite barbecue. Assuming Hermit?s crew make it back safely from the IOW Festival on the Monday (not a given, having had to take refuge in Port Solent and start out from there for last year?s trip!) there will be a briefing meeting in the bar on the Tuesday evening for anyone who wants to talk over their plans and compare passage notes.
