Shepards and more
For our first Cruise Sarah and I had wanted to plan a two stop flotilla style trip to Yamouth and Cowes which was ambitious for the August Bank Holiday, Yarmouth couldn't accommodate for the Saturday only however the lovely people at Shepherds Wharf Marina have offered us 20 berths (some rafting) which we can reduce should the following not appeal.
So what will we do for 2 days in Cowes, have magnificent time of course!
Sarah has booked Med weather so expect a relaxed sail in company, plan is to arrive at Shepherds mid afternoon onwards then let the fun begin...
I will do my best to ensure we are all moored and rafted together obviously.
Pontoon party on Saturday as usual, shared nibbles, sundowners/rum punch, relaxed music and maybe a nautical quiz. there is a fish and chip shop across the road so am thinking we eat on board and continue to socialise into the evening as long as people wish.
Sunday, for anyone that is up for a sail we could combine crews and take a boat (Flyer) or a few boats (that can get out) for a sail/relaxed race in the morning. Games will be organised for the afternoon, could include Fender games, Flip Flop Throwing, Dwile Flunking, Pontoon Golf or any other ridiculous challenges we can dream up; May even be prizes!
As we flow into the evening we will need feeding, am hoping to organise a BBQ on the decking at Corinthians Yacht Club, further details to follow once I have firmed up arrangements.
Appreciate this is a long way off however a heads up if you are interested as early as possible would be helpful so I can provide Shepherds with an informed guess on numbers, please?
Nothing will be obligatory, totally relaxed, join in with whatever you wish will just need a heads up for moorings and catering!
On Monday we will return to Chi or continue onwards for some further R&R.
Any questions or ideas of how we can make this a fab weekend please drop me a line - 07725 259 131. Matt.
