Winter Lecture - Richard Farrington CBE

Richard Farrington CBE will join us to talk about the Coastal Forces Monuments Appeal - an endeavour to raise a striking new monument at the heart of Portsmouth Historic Quarter. It will recognise the contribution of the men and women of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in the two world wars. Richard sees a clear line between the amateur sailors of the last century and the development of leisure yachting and training in the Solent in more recent years.  It could have been us. 

Richard has his own fascinating story to tell, and a long naval career stretching from minehunters to counter narcotics around the world. 

There will be coffee at 10 am and the lecture opens at 10.30. As usual the Club is laying on a Sunday Roast for lunch.
