Yachts: Bembridge
Our cruise will go to Bembridge and berthing has been reserved for 15 boats on the Bembridge Harbour pontoon, where we will be rafted up together at the Eastern end. Bembridge Harbour have improved their facilities and berthing over recent years, so we are looking forward to going back there to see the changes.
On Saturday 20th HW Chichester is 1134 (4.39m) and more importantly HW Bembridge is 1142 (3.0m). Access to the harbour is now less challenging than it has been in the past and most 2m draft yachts should be able to get in and out comfortably 2 hours either side of HW, and to make life easier, there is also now an online depth gauge for the channel at https://www.bembridgeharbour.co.uk/Tides-and-Weather/Tidal-Data enabling you to check the actual live depth over the bar at St Helens Fort.On arrival, contact the berthing master channel 80 and you will be directed to our berthing area. We plan to arrive at HW on Saturday and to leave at HW on Sunday.
Bembridge doesn’t offer the shops and facilities of Cowes or Yarmouth, but there are some great walks to be had, either along the coast to Priory Bay, or alternatively heading inland. In the evening we have reserved the marquee and Barbeque, so bring your sausages! and more details will be provided closer to the time.
