Yachts: Eastern Venture

To avoid the busy Solent during August the plan is to head east for Littlehampton.  The fleet will gather in Gosport on Tuesday evening with a meal at The Great Wall Chinese.  Tides will then be right for leaving not too early on Wednesday morning to make the Looe Channel off Selsey.  From the Looe Channel it is 13 nm to Littlehampton. Mooring will be on the HM’s East Bank pontoon.  Electric and Facilities are available but limited and rafting should be expected.

On Thursday the day is free for a trip to Arundel either walking along the River Arun, bus or train and not forgetting the option in a dinghy with the tide!  Eating Fish & Chips from the quayside in the cockpit is always a tradition after, of course, a drinks party.

Leaving on Friday after lunch will be either for a return to Gosport or Chichester, (if sufficient depth to lock in). Briefing with drinks at The Boathouse in Gosport on Tuesday evening, 17.30.
