Yacht Cruise: A leisurely cruise to Poole
The intention, depending on wind direction, weather conditions and skippers’ desires, is to head for Poole Harbour and in particular the Arne RSPB reserve at the furthest western shore. We anchored here to the west of Long Island during last year’s cruise and it’s well worth a further visit. Skippers might choose to start sailing west already on Bank Holiday Monday and even delay returning by joining the following weekend cruise at East Cowes, either of which would allow more time in Poole. Other options if weather conditions aren’t too friendly can include Wicor at the northern end of Portsmouth Harbour and our old favourite Newtown Creek with the delights of crab salads at the Shalfeet Inn. Skippers will be advised of briefing info.
