Congratulations to CYC rower who has been recognised by British Rowing

CYC is continuing to build links with British Rowing.  One of the clubs rowers and coxes, Tracey Westacott, has been selected for their 2026 Coach Development Scheme. 

This scheme aims to build a new generation of rowing coaches.  It includes:

- one-to-one support from an experienced coach developer;

- access to a network of coaches;  and 

- the chance to experiment and push the boundaries of coaching practice. 

The scheme will also include opportunities to visit regional hubs and high-profile outreach programmes and well-established clubs and universities. 

Tracey will attend the launch with her Next Generation cohort at the British Rowing headquarters in Caversham in mid January which will include a tour of their world-beating facilities.  The aim of to bring back more coaching techniques and offerings to support CYC and the wider local rowing club network.
