CYC Rowing Regatta 2025

On Saturday, 8th November, we were delighted to welcome 8 local clubs from the 3 Harbours, taking part in our annual Celtic Long Boat Challenge Sprint Regatta, set over 3 km outside the club house.  This was the first regatta of the 2025/6 of the 3 Harbour winter series rowing league, there are 4 more races in the harbour.

Participating this year were, CYC, Dell Quay SC, Itchenor SC, Emsworth Slipper SC, Coastal Rowing Academy,  Emsworth Sailing Club,  Langstone Cutters Rowing Club and Bosham SC.  Regrettably two 3 Harbour clubs could not make the event as they have only just started rowing, Wittering Rowing Club and Tudor SC will Im sure be joining us next year.

The day was filled with excellent racing, competitive spirt, and plenty of enthusiasm. With fine weather and calm conditions, perfect for a rowing, regatta the event proved to be a fantastic celebration of local rowing and community spirit.

We have to highlight one of our new to rowing crews, who stepped in to Cygnet on the day to compete in the Novice row. Steve Strickland has just started rowing with CYC , and only done two rows, what a star!
