New to boating?
Chichester Yacht Club welcomes new members and you do not need to have any experience or to own a boat to join. Our members will be very pleased to provide guidance and support to allow you to build your skills and confidence.
As well as a wide selection of Club dinghies available for members, there are also crewing opportunities for those who do not own their own boat and who wish to get more experience and an understanding of different types of boat before deciding to buy one of their own.
For those interested in dinghy sailing, a good starting point for many is to take an RYA course and here at Chichester Yacht Club we can help you with this. We offer RYA courses for junior beginners and improvers, and Club training to help you improve your skills. For adult members, we offer a wide range of Club training from beginners courses and Private Tuition through to race training. Many of our members who learned to sail at Chichester Yacht Club have progressed to compete at national and international level and the Club is pleased to have trained a number of its own instructors.
